Image description Upper Wharfedale Concert Club was founded some 30 years ago with the aim of giving the residents of Upper Wharfedale the chance to go to some of the best symphony concerts, musicals, and plays being put on in Bradford, Leeds, Harrogate, York, etc. Entirely run by volunteers, this remains the focus of our society.

Membership is currently free and is open to everyone in Upper Wharfedale. We hire a coach from Hargreaves of Hebden and the pick-up points are Hebden, Grassington, Hedgerow Threshfield, Long Ashes, Old Hall Threshfield and Cracoe.

Members are informed well in advance via our website and email reminders, of planned venues and prices including the cost of transport, and with tickets allocated on a first come first served basis. Payment for tickets is by bank to bank transfer or cheque.

BOOKING FOR AN OUTING

  • All communication on outings will be done by email only, incl. programme outing information.
  • At the beginning of each half-year programme our Membership Secretary will email all members with brief details of our forthcoming programme.
  • Full programme details will be available from this website immediately thereafter.
  • You do not need to wait until a particular event reaches a pre-determined date.
  • You can book via the website for any outing from day 1, that way you can be sure of a ticket.
  • About a month before the closing date of each outing our Membership Secretary will email every member with full details of the next forthcoming outing.
  • A FINAL REMINDER will be sent about a week before the outing closing date.
TO BOOK TICKETS
  1. - Go to the website, select your chosen outing page, and complete the Booking Form at the bottom of the page.
  2. - Payment for tickets can be by bank to bank transfer [Preferable] or cheque.

It is a golden opportunity to have an evening or afternoon out at some of Yorkshire's finest theatres, yet leaving the car at home. No more trying to navigate through city centres and then having to find, and pay for, an elusive parking space!
